Lab_HD is coordinating a joint international effort with Portuguese and Brazilian institutions – Instituto Superior Técnico from Universidade de Lisboa, LARHUD from IBICT, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and LabHum from UNIFESP – in the translation and preparation of a Portuguese version of the Programming Historian platform.
The Programming Historian has gained widespread notoriety and provide useful content for scholars who want to work in the Digital Humanities field. In addition to the English version, the platform also has versions in Spanish and French. It publishes peer-reviewed tutorials to train humanists in several digital tools, techniques, and workflows to facilitate research and teaching. It focus on novice-friendly, open source programming languages and software, and open access values with each tutorial being assigned an ISSN, in an international project that is volunteer-driven.

O Lab_HD está a coordenar um esforço internacional em conjunto com instituições portuguesas e brasileiras – Instituto Superior Técnico da Universidade de Lisboa, LARHUD do IBICT, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) e LabHum da UNIFESP – na tradução e preparação de uma versão em português da plataforma Programming Historian.
O Programming Historian ganhou uma forte notoriedade e fornece conteúdo útil para investigadores que desejem trabalhar no campo das Humanidades Digitais. Além da versão em inglês, a plataforma também possui versões em espanhol e francês.
A plataforma publica tutoriais revistos por pares para fornecer aos investigadores uma variedade de ferramentas, técnicas e fluxos de trabalho digitais para facilitar a investigação e o ensino. Este projeto internacional, formado por voluntários, centra-se em exercícios que também são acessíveis para iniciantes, em linguagens de programação e software de código aberto, assim como nos valores de acesso aberto, sendo atribuído um ISSN a cada tutorial.
